The affected area must be cleaned thoroughly, at least twice in a day, with an anti-bacterial soap. The products which are made with tea tree or neem are considered to be the best. Tea tree oil is very much effective on the affected area. Care should be taken while applying the oil and should not be applied near eyes. A proper diet of fresh vegetables, fruits and grains is a proven method to save our skin from acne. Foods which contain saturated fats and dairy products must be avoided as a preventative measure. Zinc-rich foods like fish and nuts are very much beneficial. Reduction in consumption of coffee and tea is advisable and increase the consumption of water, at least 8 glasses every day.
