Avoiding frequent cold sores
An outbreak

sunlight, stress, and frequent cold and fever. You have to take
extra precautions to avoid these stimulation factors. Intake of
nutritional foods that enhance the immunity of your body is essential
to prevent any further outbreak of cold sores. Since cold sores
is highly contagious, it is better you avoid touching any person
who is supposed to have cold sores. It is also better to avoid sexual
contact with such persons to avoid spreading of the virus to you.
After an attack of cold sores it is better to replace your toothbrush.
This would prevent any further outbreak in the near future. Avoid
kissing the persons who have cold sores. It is better not to use
the same cups, plates, towels, and clothes of the infected person.
If you could
not avoid going in the sun, it is better to use a sunscreen of at
least 15 SPF. This sunscreen can be applied on the lips and other
susceptible areas of your skin. For persons who wish to boost the
immune system of the body, a mixture of tinctures of Echinacea,
oats, burdock, Lomatium and calendula can be prepared and this mixture
can be taken ½ teaspoon daily for four or five times. This
method would drastically improve the immune system of your body.
It is better to avoid touching the cold sores even in your own body
and if you have touched it, you need to wash your hands thoroughly.
You can also take Goldenseal and vitamin C daily to boost the immune
system. Since stress is one of the factors for the herpes simplex
virus outbreak it is better to take good rest and thus reduce stress.
Having a good sleep for at least 8 hours would help you much in
