Econazole (Spectazole®), ketoconazole (Nizoral®), and ciclopirox (Loprox®) are the recent topical preparations used to treat athlete’s foot. Drying powders of anti-fungal can be used inside the socks and shoes to reduce dampness and moisture inside the shoe through out the day. Tablets of Lamisil (terbafine Hcl) found to be effective in the athlete foot infection. Care should be taken in Lamisil tablet intake, since it affects Liver.
