An overall history reflexology

Eunice Ingham, founder of the International Institute of Reflexology, has developed the foot Reflexology. She carefully mapped out the anatomy of the body and found relevant reflex points on the feet and created the first ever foot charts. The International Institute of Reflexology is the only organization that teaches the Original Ingham Method of Reflexology with original foot chart. The treatment begins with a detailed consultation with client to get his/her full medical history. There will be an examination of the feet and then some general relaxation techniques before the practitioner acts with the thumbs and fingers over all of the reflexes. The applied pressure will be depends up on the age and health condition of client.

If there is any imbalance in reflex point, the practitioner may feel crystal-like deposits at that point, which will be crushed by the massage. Reflexology is great for improving the blood circulation and strengthening the nervous system, which are vital for organs to work effectively and nutrients will be conveyed perfectly to each part of the body and removes the toxin. Due to these developments the body will be relaxed and ease the stresses by helping the systems to work more effectively. When the body is balanced, it has its own natural healing ability. The client may feel sleepy or needing to visit the toilet more frequently or a slight runny nose or increased perspiration or shivering just after or during the treatment, which are the positive signs that the treatment has performed to balance your body.
