An overview to anal warts cure

Cure of anal warts lies mainly on the method in which the medication is applied. Numerous medicines are available surgically, medically and naturally. A proven product for controlling the infection is DERMISIL® W derived from melaleuca alternifolia, thuja occidentalis and ricinus communis plants. This eliminates all strains of wart including anal warts. Alpha-terpinene-4-ol, an anti-viral compound found in the plant extract melaleuca alternifolia, thuja occidentalis, and ricinus communis is the active ingredient in DERMISIL® W. The topical application of this gel will act immediately because the extracts are lipophilic and absorb into the skin and blood stream as soon as they are applied to the skin. Fluorouracil (5 FU) (Adrucil, Efudex, Fluoroplex) is one of the ointment used to control anal wart. This is inserted in the rectum daily for several nights. The outer layers of the skin then slough off, along with warts.

Warts that appear inside the anal canal can be removed only through electro cauterization or surgical excision. This method fetches higher percentage of cure and lower percentage of recurrence. The warts which harbor the skin around the anus can easily be handled by applying a new cream called Imiquimod, which is approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and can be less irritating than other treatments. Bleomycin (Blenoxane), a solution should be administered directly into each lesion through injection by a physcian. This is having more side effects. Finally, the interferon drugs, which contains Alfa 2a and 2b (Roferon, Intron A), which is to be injected into each lesion twice a week for up to 8 weeks.
